Winter Racing and Evening Riding with the Tui Cycle Pants

Winter Racing and Evening Riding with the Tui Cycle Pants

As the evenings get colder and darker, the full-length tui pants have become my go-to for rides where I want the easy breathability of sweat alongside the extra warmth.

Pictured to the right at Rangituhi/Spicer Forest on a cool winter’s evening. I checked out the new grade 3 trail, Kēmu O Rua Haurua, on the cyclocross bike to keep things interesting.

A slightly less conventional way of wearing the Tuis! Pictured below at the final round of Huttcross, racing A grade dressed in an 80s aerobics costume. On one of the wettest and muddiest race days I’ve experienced, the tuis were a perfect fit for the outfit and definitely the most comfortable piece! They kept the harsh elements out, while still wicking away the inevitable sweat of racing a bike race. I was super happy to come away with 4th woman that day, and it was a great way to finish off a speedy, yet soggy, season of ‘cross.
